Center Stage Dance Studio Introduces Irish-Step Class for a Good Cause

Recently, Center Stage Dance Studio, located at 1107 Rucker Boulevard, introduced a new class to its already impressive line-up of classes, Irish-Step Dance.  A current student, Shanley Wright, was diagnosed with asthma and allergies at a young age and has always struggled to keep her asthma under control.  She felt like there had to be more people that also had the same issues and she wanted to do something to help.  She came up with the idea to offer a class to raise money for research of these common ailments. So after speaking with Center Stage's owner, Crystal Grantham-Davis, it was decided to offer a class for a small monthly donation.  There is no actual cost for the class, the studio only requests a small $10/ per month donation that is given to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America to help fund research. 

Shanley has taken Irish-Step for 5 years and has competed and won numerous awards for her talent.  The class will cover reel, jig, two-handed reel, group dances, and more.  The class is held on Thursdays from 4:00-5:00 at Center Stage Dance Studio.  For more information about this class or any other that Center Stage offers, contact the studio at 334-347-2171 or visit their website at www.centerstagedanceal.com .
