COVID-19 Procedures & Policies
Measures we will take to keep our dancers safe, if necessary:
- Limiting the number of dancers per class (based on age)
- Limiting foot traffic inside the studio lobby
- Potentially shifting the schedule to keep traffic between classes to a minimum and to allow for proper studio sanitizing
- Limiting use of handheld props for preschool classes
- All frequently touched surfaces will be sanitized between each class and every day.
- Dance floors are marked to allow 6 feet of distance between dancers
- All dancers will use hand sanitizer as they enter and exit each class
- Temperatures of staff will be taken upon entrance
- Hands on training will be limited
- Dress codes will be simplified to avoid changing of clothes between classes
- Dancers will be limited to one average size dance bag or backpack and must keep them in the studio in a designated area
- HVAC UV sanitizers have been added to all of the heating/cooling units throughout the studio to provide hospital grade purification.

Each room has different capacity limitations. Class sizes will be based on the individual studio capacity…
All dancers must remain in the designated 6ft by 6ft square at all times during their class. Exceptions to this rule are ONLY allowed for ACROSS THE FLOOR PROGRESSIONS; which have been adjusted to adhere to 6 foot social distancing rules.
BAGS, WATER BOTTLES & PERSONAL ITEMS:
Dancers are allowed to bring 1 dance bag/book bag into the studio. All personal items MUST be kept inside the dancers bag at all times. This includes, clothing, cell phones, watches, etc. Bags will be kept in a designated area in each classroom. Dancers are allowed to bring in personal water bottles as long as they are kept with the dancers personal items. Please label the water bottle with the dancer’s name.
HOW DANCERS WILL ENTER THE BUILDING AND CLASSROOM:
Students will be asked to remain in their vehicles until the start of their class time or lineup outside on the social distancing marks. Dancers are encouraged to wear masks when entering and exiting the building, but are NOT required to wear a mask during class. Upon entering the building, each dancer will do the following:

It is important that all dancers use the bathroom before entering the studio. Bathroom emergencies are unavoidable especially with younger dancers so if a student must go to the bathroom during their class time, the following procedures must take place…
HOW DANCERS WILL EXIT THE BUILDING AFTER THEIR LAST CLASS OF THE EVENING:
Once a students last class is over, each student will sanitize their hands and exit through the designated door for their current classroom, teacher will then meet parents at the lobby entrance for pick up…
Studio doors will be open for the student by the teacher or student assistant. It is highly recommended that students do not touch doorknobs while entering or exiting any room in the building.
PARENTS INSIDE THE BUILDING:
Currently parents and non-dancers are NOT allowed inside the studio. Parents must wait outside or in the vehicle at all times. Parents wishing to speak with the Office Assistant or to make a payment on their account, will only be allowed inside the lobby. This is for the safety of our staff and students. If this policy changes over the course of the season, we will notify parents of said change and an update will be posted here. For the time being, we will be continuing to offer zoom live for parents to login and watch the class. Only certain classes will be available to take via Zoom. Parents please wear a mask when entering the building.

- Studio 2 - 12 students total
- Studio 3 – 20+ students depending on age level

- We will remind the student before they exit the room which bathroom they need to proceed to and to wash their hands before they return to the classroom.
- Student assistant will assist the dancer in washing their hands if needed and sanitize the bathroom before returning to the classroom
