Jordan McGovern - Ballet, tap, jazz
Jordan lives in Enterprise with her 9 year old daughter, Julianna, two rescue cats, their rescue dog, and rescue guinea pig. If you guessed she’s an animal lover, how’d you know??. Jordan was born in Germany, but has lived her whole life in Enterprise. She began taking dance classes around age 9 and fell in love with the art as early as then. She has taken ballet, jazz, clogging, pointe, tap, hip hop, musical theatre, lyrical, contemporary, and production styles of dance. She attended Enterprise High School and was Dance Line Captain her senior year in 2011. She was also part of the EHS Winterguard during her sophomore and junior years, where she competed with dancing, flag, rifle & sabre. She realized the joy choreographing and teaching her own routines brought to her while she was a part of both teams. After overcoming an unexpected, rare autoimmune disorder that lasted for months of the end of her senior year, Jordan graduated from EHS with honors, then went on to attend Enterprise State Community College, where she graduated with her Associate of Science in 2014. She taught dance with Center Stage Dance Studio from 2015-2017 teaching preballet; ages 4-5 ballet and tap; ages 6-9 ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and clogging; adult tap and clogging; and company ballet classes. Jordan loves being able to express her creativity through dance and sharing its impact with others. Jordan is currently working as a house/business cleaner and has also started and runs her own small cleaning business, Lotus Cleaning Co. She just believes she is blessed to be able to physically do the things she enjoys doing such as working cleaning and dancing. “Grace glides on blistered feet” is one of Jordan’s favorite quotes. “Life is about fighting the negative with your positive, and never giving up on your fight.”
