Recital Expenses - Students will purchase one costume for each subject they are enrolled in that usually costs approximately $65.00 ($70.85) each, plus tax. Combo classes (4/5 ballet/ tap) will have a combo costume. The cost will be $85 plus taxes ($92.65). The costume fees will be charged to accounts in October and due by December 1st.
Company costumes may be slightly higher due to their having more elaborate costumes. Company costume fees are due in October.
Tights and shoes are additional. Tights will be ordered automatically for each student at the cost of $14.00 plus tax ($15.26) for child sizes and $16.00 plus tax ($17.44) for adult sizes. Tights are charged in January along with the recital fee of $30.
All students will also be charged a $30.00 recital fee in January that assists in the tremendous financial undertaking that C.S.D. assumes when producing a production of this magnitude. All class pictures will be in the recital program at no charge. This fee assists with the costs of producing a professional show: facility rental, music editing, lighting, sound, technical crews, and all other production needs.
Other optional recital related costs include: program ads that feature individual students pictures, t-shirts, videos, pictures, recital souvenir programs and tickets.
Accounts must be paid in full to participate in the Recital.
All students that participate in the recital are required to attend all rehearsals the week of recital.

Optional Expenses for Recital:
- Recital ads – Recital ads are a way to commemorate your dancer in our Souvenir programs. Programs contain pictures of all of our teachers, groups, and a show order. We also place ads of our dancers in the programs. Ads can be sold to friends, family members, businesses, etc. The ad generally is set-up with a picture of the student and some type of message such as: Good Luck on Your Recital, we love you! Love your family!
- DVDs - High Quality DVDs of the recital, produced by Post House Productions, can be purchased in the lobby the day of recital or in the offices at the studios. These will be movie-like quality of the entire show. The DVD will be edited and formatted for you. DVDs will be $35 and $40 for us to ship it to you.
- Pictures –Dawg Prints photography will be shooting our photographs this year. We have pictures on 1-day (unlike other studios) so that we do NOT take away from your class time. We will have the picture proofs at the studio at a later date for you to view and be able to purchase packages. The packages are VERY REASONABLE and Dawg Prints Photography is a HIGH-QUALITY photographer.
- Recital T-shirts – We are offering recital t-shirts to commemorate our recital for the year. The t-shirts cost $20 plus tax and will be available for sale only by ordering by the deadline. All names of the students that are participating in the production will be listed as a ‘Cast List’ for the back of our shirts. *Design on the order form
- Flowers and balloons – We offer an opportunity to order flowers and balloons for your star dancer! The packages are done at a reasonable rate and will be delivered to the venue the day of recital so you can ‘surprise’ your dancer with their gift after the show. Gifts are generally given at the end of the show after we do our finale. We generally leave the backdrop down and the lights on the stage on, in case you want to take pictures on the stage. We also offer a photo backdrop in the lobby area of the recital venue for you to take pictures.
- Tickets – All tickets are $12 and will need to be bought online with our vendor Tututix. Tickets will go on sale on April 2nd at 8:00 a.m. Anyone that requires a seat is required to have a ticket. If you are bringing a younger child that sits in a parent’s lap then no ticket is required. Tickets sold at the door will be $15. www.tututix.com/CenterStageDanceAL
- Programs - Programs will be on sale by order, and only a few will be available the day of rehearsal and the day of recital for $10.00. The program contains pictures of your child’s group dances, staff pictures, all ads, and show orders for the recital. To be guaranteed a copy, place your order using the program order form.
- Trophies – Trophies will be on sale this year for you to purchase. These are an optional expense and not required. We do give the students a medal at the end of the show but some want a trophy. If you would like to order a trophy, fill out the form and turn in by the deadline. We will deliver these to the performing arts center for you to receive on the day of the show.
